It is with great pride that we announce the 2009 launch of the Anne Murray Charity Golf Classic in support of Colon Cancer Canada. We are honoured to welcome Canadian music icon, Anne Murray to our organization. Anne’s commitment to the cause and her support of the annual tournament will have a tremendous impact on our efforts in fighting this terrible disease.
We invite you to join Anne as participants take part in an afternoon of golf followed by dinner and a live and silent auction. There will be valuable prizes to be won, great on-course activities and a chance to drive home the hole-in-one prize of a new car.
This tournament was originally created in honour of Howard Schwartz who lost his courageous battle with colon cancer in 2002. Howard worked tirelessly for Colon Cancer Canada in order to raise awareness of the disease. His family, friends and supporters are proud to carry on his legacy and continue his work today.
Colon Cancer Canada is grateful that Howard’s memory will be kept alive as part of the Anne Murray Charity Golf Classic.
