Bottoms Up! was held on April 29th at the exciting new venue in the Toronto Reference Library, The Bram & Bluma Appel Salon. It was hosted by CCSIF, who CCC is in the process of merging with, and it was great for us to show our support at this fabulous event. Bottoms Up! featured a live auction of designer stools, birdhouse/ outhouse and toilet seats which were fun and unique, as well as signed Jarome Iginla and Sidney Crosby jerseys. The "Silent But Deadly Auction," sale of Smart*Ass clothing and "Putt Your Butt Off" (promoting the upcoming Anne Murray Charity Golf Classic, presented by PENTAX) all helped raise money for the cause.
The event was emceed by Tyler MacLeod, the producer of Sharkwater, and he and auctioneer Martin Ross provided great energy to the evening. Elaine Offman, a colon cancer survivor, delivered an inspiring speech that reminded us of the reason for the whole evening- to raise funds in awareness of colon cancer.
